sidenotes throughout. Bound in contemporary mottled calf. first edition of rules for the nuns of San Gregorio, an Augustinian convent in Valencia, Spain, that was demolished in 1911 to make way for the Olympia Theater. Among the rules we find guidelines for taking confession and sections describing progressively worse sins by the nuns themselves, from being late to choir to physically assaulting the Prioress. OCLC locates no copies in the U.S. and just one abroad, Navarra.
