This reference book is illustrated with woodcut prints of aristocratic cars from the Edo era (palanquins, sedan chairs…), based on research from various antique records.

Volume one features 11 double page illustrations plus contents page, volume two features 18 double page illustrations (four being diagrams).

A few defects on the covers and corners, central fold of some engravings torn on a few inches, several ink transfers, otherwise beautiful work, very rare, complete of its 2 volumes and woodcuts.
