Binding signed A. Fonfrède of all the issues published in 1906 of the magazine LE RIRE, directed by Félix Juven.

From issue 153 [January 6, 1906] to 204 [December 29, 1906], 16 p. per issue, excluding the special issue:

Binding made up of issues received by subscription [some issues with 1c stamps], signed A. Fonfrède, 315*243 cm, half red sheepskin, cover in marbled cat’s eye paper [slight wear at the corners], hinges in very good condition or perfect, stitching where each issue [16 p.] forms a notebook. Complete year: 3 kg. The book block is solid without a separate notebook

Founded by Félix Juven in 1894, Le Rire enjoyed an exceptional longevity. Its history is punctuated by six major series: a first which counts 430 issues from 1894 to 1903; a second from 1903 to 1914; a third from 1914 to 1919 under the title Le Rire rouge, then from 1919 to 1940, with more than a thousand issues; a fifth from 1946 to 1949 and a sixth from 1951 to 1971.
