Inscribed (1926) by author on free endpaper to J.F. Crampton (“in 1866 the family moved to Arizona and passed through where the city of Phoenix now is, and he can distinctly remember wading in the first ditch dug there, with Jack Swilling, the man who dug it”. Who’s Who in Arizona Vol. 1.)  Additionally, laid in is a single page A. L. s. from Sparks to Crampton reminiscing about the old days and old timers. Adams 2075
