The verso side contains the header ‘A’, one roman numerial ‘V’, and one ‘A’ initial in red and one ‘A’ initial in blue, with a roman numerial ‘IIII’ in red and blue. Each side has been beautifully embelished with red and blue head and tail pieces along the left side of the two columns. Finally there is 15th-century calligraphy in brown on the recto in the right wide margin, and a small amount of calligraphy in brown on the left margin of the verso.

The text is of the end of Amos 1:3 to the beginning of Amos 5:7. Amos was the third of the Twelve Minor Prophets of the Old Testament and started his career as a shepherd. He was known as ‘The prophet spoke to all generations…’
