In 1942, he graduated from Dwight Morrow High School, Englewood, NJ and attended Howard University, Washington, DC. Before completing his degree at Howard University, Mr. Hinton enlisted in the Army Air Corps Aviation Cadet Program. He attended flight training serving from 1944-1946 and spent time training at Ft Dix, NJ, Fort McClellan, Alabama, and Tuskegee AL. After returning home, Mr. Hinton finished his degree at Howard University, earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. His career included working on Radio Systems for the Gemini and Apollo projects.
