MAIL & LETTERS–to and from S—–o V—-z, a Spanish-speaking young adult male incarcerated in California’s penal system. Portfolio of (40+) Jail Documents, Photos, Letters, & Sketches– create an overall positive picture of S—-o, who used his jail time to overcome some of the issues that led to his arrest. During his time inside S—o V—z created a more purposeful life. Letters from 2013-14 are by S—-o V—z during his prison sentence.
Letters from 2018 are from S—o friend, then, imprisoned for multiple crimes. Most letters written in English, interspersed with ‘Spanglish’– several written fully in Spanish. In very good condition.
